SexSense, for comprehensive sexuality education
In SURT we have become part of the recently created European platform, SexSense. This network works to advance comprehensive sexuality education, both for teenagers and young adults, and for adults. It also aims to create a network between European entities that, like SURT, work to build a society free of violence to promote research, training and political advocacy projects at European level.
As a European platform, SexSense wants to bring together NGOs as well as universities and public institutions, to generate shared knowledge that allows systemic change in society. Through research, awareness, training, and the sharing of innovative practices, SexSense aims to be a hub of organizations committed to advancing comprehensive sex education.
From SURT we believe that it is very strategic to be part of this network of entities to be able to contribute knowledge and European experiences to Catalonia, and to be able to contribute to making a political impact for a change of paradigm regarding sexual education.
The SexSense platform is celebrating its annual event on February 16, 2024 in Brussels.
