Final Event of the European Project “New Worlds”

The final online event of the European project “New Worlds: New paths for trafficked women reintegration through labour and personal development services” will take place on 18 June 2025, from 16:30 to 18:30 (CET). It will bring together professionals and organizations working to support women who have survived trafficking.

Titled “New Worlds: Rebuilding Lives after Trafficking”, the event will highlight innovative practices and lessons learned across Europe in the areas of labour integration and personal development for trafficked women. It also aims to contribute to ongoing efforts to address the challenges of human trafficking of women in the EU.

Speakers will include representatives from the European Commission, the University of Cairo, and Weavers of Hope, an organization founded by women survivors of trafficking. Participants will also have the opportunity to join small group discussions focused on concrete advocacy proposals in four key areas of anti-trafficking efforts.

Launched in 2023, New Worlds has been developed with the active involvement of all partners throughout its duration. As Fundació SURT, we have been engaged in every phase of the project, from initial planning to implementation and evaluation, contributing our expertise in supporting women’s empowerment and socio-labour inclusion.

The project is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union and coordinated by Soleterre ETS, in partnership with Fondazione ISMU, Cooperativa Lotta contro l’Emarginazione, France Terre d’Asile, Fundació SURT, IASIS NGO, and the European Institute for Local Development.

This event marks the conclusion of the New Worlds project and provides a space to reflect on its achievements and explore future actions to support women survivors of trafficking.
