End arms trade with Israel
Surt Foundation joins the unitary campaign “End arms trade with Israel” by signing the manifesto that demands the Spanish State to abandon financing Israel’s genocide in Palestine.
The signatory entities and individuals consider that with the prominent role of Pedro Sánchez in the Council of the European Union (he was president from June to December 2023), it is an opportunity to lead this process and become a global reference for the construction of the peace and global justice.
Save the Children reports that there have been more child deaths in the Gaza Strip in the last month than in the entire world since 2019. According to this organization, a child dies every 10 minutes in Gaza. The arms embargo is a necessary step for the construction of peace and an obligation not only moral, but also legal, as stated in the Spanish legal framework that prohibits the sale of weapons to countries in conflict or where there are important Human Rights violations.
