Aprop 2024, Comprehensive Support Service for Immigrant Women
Until May, this year’s first edition of the Aprop 2024, Comprehensive Support Service for Immigrant Women with family burdens or in situations of special vulnerability, is underway. The program aims to promote processes of social and labor inclusion and improve the lives and effectiveness of migrant women’s rights.
The service includes:
- Skills development workshop: Catalan basic level course (45 hours); approach to the labor market; digital literacy; job search techniques.
- Socio-labor empowerment workshop: knowledge of Catalan society, the Reception Act and the Aliens Act; Knowledge of the labor market; definition of the work objective and preparation of the CV.
- Taste of trades: Mediterranean cuisine / hairdressing and image
The sessions are held at the Surt headquarters (carrer Guàrdia, 14 baixos, Barcelona) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
In addition, the participants in the itinerary have individualized legal advice on foreign affairs, an intercultural mediation service and a support service for women survivors of gender-based violence.

On the other hand, the service offers awareness-raising actions aimed at the business fabric. Relationships are established with collaborating companies in order to promote involvement and co-responsibility based on equal opportunities and respect for diversity.
This year’s second edition is expected around September-October.
