Community Linkage final event
After two years of working on the effective link between gender-based violence care services and community networks in different European territories, the Community Linkage concludes with a final event on June 13, in the Rosa Sensat event hall (Av. Drassanes, 3 Barcelona), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At the final event of the European project “Community Linkage: between the reflections of the women participants and the analyzes of the facilitating teams”, the women participants from the various partner countries (Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Catalonia) will talk about how they have experienced the project , what are the main barriers when connecting with services and what kind of changes should be generated so that the main purpose of the project can materialize.
To collect the fundamental, contextualized analyzes and the challenges drawn during the process, a round table will be held with a representative of each country’s partnership. By weaving together the different stories, the reality that the migrant women of the project live in relation to the services they use in their everyday life will be put on the table.

Surt Foundation has been involved, from 2022 to 2024, with the creation of a space for support and training in the face of sexist violence for a group of migrant women from the Sant Roc neighborhood (Badalona). The goal has been to strengthen their own agency, so that they become agents of change for their environment and propose improvements to the specialized services of the municipality where they live.
Community Linkage is an initiative financed by the European Fund and in which we participate 4 entities and research centers from Italy (CESIE), Greece (Diotima), Slovenia (ZRS Koper) and Catalunya Fundació Surt).
