Espai La Talaia: radio, women and cultural diversity
We have reactivated Espai La Talaia, a radio co-creation space where women can reflect and empower themselves by putting the fact of migration and their own vital processes at the center. Weekly we recognize the axes of discrimination that cross us and we value cultural diversity and our own knowledge.
In the reflection sessions around microphones, bonds of sorority and trust are generated in the group that remain over time. And in addition, community self-organization is encouraged to resolve care needs collectively among the participants. The main objective of the project is to promote knowledge and recognition of the cultural diversity of the city of Barcelona among women from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds.
The program will be active from March to December 2024 in weekly sessions.
Every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the SURT headquarters (c/ Guardia, 14 Bajos Barcelona).
