The UGT awarded SURT with a prize - 8/3/06
During the celebration of the 8th March, Day of the Woman Worker, Mr. Josep M. Alvarez,
Secretary General of the UGT of Catalunya, gave a
prize to SURT in recognition to the task supporting women in underprivileged situation in the
labour market.

Prize Foundation Caixa Sabadell to SURT in
the section of social programs that the
organization has developed, concretely for the project
of Dinamización of resources by the women who
have suffered mistreat.

The Foundation Lluís Carulla
awared with the II the Prizes Francesc Candel to Surt,
Association of women for the labor insertion,
for the Service of cultural mediation social and
health. In the Hospital Vall de Hebrón as, the
service of intercultural mediation of Surt gives
response to the sanitary personnel that attends the
immigrated population and to the users of
the sanitary network. This program makes social an
excellent contribution that surpasses the welfare
scope, and that helps to surpass the difficulties
related to the language and that can be
extrapolated to other realities.

The Jury has valued the 51 received proposals and,
after the corresponding deliberation awarded the Prizes Francesc Candel of year 2005 to the
following organizations: Surt, Association of Women for
the Labor Insertion by the Service of sociosanitaria
cultural mediation; To the new program the Catalans, from TVE-Catalunya; to the Icària Program, of the Partnership
d'Osona of Social Services; CEIP Peru and Volunters and
volunteers of Vila-rodona by its Program To
learn Catalan and to know the country.
