Job Search Room
The Job Search Room is a support service within the task of labor insertion we offer to those women who have begun some activity in the
organization.
 |
It is an open space where people can consult job
offers, contact the advertisers by telephone and work on those aspects considered appropriate for improving the search
process. Both the women helping each other mutually and each one’s autonomy is promoted in this
area.
|
The Job Search Room is also to deal with offers and explore for possible collaborating
businesses.
Work and Alien Status Legal Advice
The general objective that we raise is to guarantee the growing offer of legal advice in the organization.
This service is a support resource for the women who participate in whichever program at the organization and who need legal information and advice about different topics: legalization procedures for immigrant women; follow-ups on their cases; processes for the recognition of studies done in their countries of origin; legal aspects of family legislation and situations of gender violence.
In addition to individual advice, informative group sessions were held where topics related to citizens’ rights were discussed.
In 2005, 159 women were individually attended to. Of these, the demands that stood out the most were: topics on alien status; work law; family and gender violence.
Minimal Income Insertion Assistance and Support Service
The service consists of the RMI (Minimal Income Insertion) application procedure. When it is assessed that a woman fulfills the requisites that the Department of Family and Welfare of the Generalitat of Catalonia asks for, this grant is subject to the PIR (Individual Reinsertion Plan), agreed upon by each woman.
